There was a course in South Richmond (near Chester) called River's

Bend (now closed). A misguided wealthy guy built a house right in the slice zone about 150 yards from a Par 4 tee box. That alone was stupid enough...but he used Terra Cotta tiles for the roof. (going for a Spanish Mission look) Those tiles did not fare well against golf balls. He later put up a huge and ugly net next to his house.
